One - Maison Martin Margiela 'Replica' Beach Walk I was completely surprised I was drawn to this scent when I first encountered it. The fragrances I usually gravitate towards are Tom Ford Black Orchid or Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black (this one I actually own). The softness of Beach Walk isn't normally my cup of tea, but it still has a warmth and sexiness I'm absolutely on board with for spring and summer. This perfume is one I'll be lusting after until I finally work up the nerve to add it to my collection.
Two - Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Matte Lip Tar 'Lydia' The formula of OCC's lip tars are perfect, in my opinion. A little goes a long way, but once applied, the product lasts for ages. I already own this product in 'Black Dahlia,' which is more versatile than one might assume. A light layer makes it a more berry purple, while a thicker application can make it appear close to black. Like 'Black Dahlia,' 'Lydia' is also a matte finish without the dryness often accompanied by a matte lip product. Plums are typically reserved for fall, but I'd rather switch out traditional spring corals for a more lilac shade this year.
Three - Aesop Rejuvenate Intensive Body Balm Warmth isn't something I crave just from the weather during the spring and summer months -- I like it in my beauty products as well. This rich body balm from Aesop has a woody aroma with notes of vanilla, and its texture is thick and moisturizing (something my Irish skin needs after a long Midwestern winter).
Four - Antipodes Immortal SPF 15 Face & Body Moisturizer Once the sun starts to make more of an appearance during spring, I immediately reach for an extra sunscreen. Traditional SPFs are usually too thick and greasy for those of us who wear makeup and leave the skin feeling heavy and uncomfortable. I'm craving an option that lays nicely under my regular beauty routine and keeps my skin protected from the sun. This Antipodes SPF is protective, lightweight, fragrance free, so it ticks all of the boxes.
Five - Aesop Rose Hair & Scalp Moisturising Masque In addition to living in a climate that gets unbearably cold in winter, I've recently done an ombre on my hair and visited Panama. Needless to say, my hair is crying for help at the moment. This Aesop hair masque has sweet almond and camellia oils in it, which should be exactly what my hair needs to quench its thirst.
Six - Bite Beauty Whipped Cherry Lip Scrub Have I mentioned that I live in the Midwest? My skin and hair aren't the only casualties during the winter months. My lips, which are almost always covered in lipstick, also get exposed to chapping and other winter unpleasantries. This Bite Beauty lip scrub helps to smooth out all of the unevenness and dryness to rejuvenate your lips just in time for spring.
