Growing up I never thought bronzer was intended for pale folks like me. But thankfully I've learned that there is a bronzer for every skin type. Recently, Hourglass launched its Ambient Bronzer, which is the third and newest member of the Ambient Lighting Powder family. Like the Ambient Lighting Powders, the shimmer you see running through the bronzer isn't glittery or sparkly. It simply provides a lit-from-within glow to the skin, which makes even fair folks look as though they spent a little time in the sun. It comes in two color ways, Luminous Bronze Light, which I have, and Radiant Bronze Light. While it certainly provides warmth to my face, it isn't too orange toned. Instead, it's slightly cooler to accommodate my fair skin. I apply the bronzer to the hallows of my cheeks, temples, along my jawline and down my neck for a more contoured glow. I prefer using either the Hourglass Ambient Powder Brush or the Bobbi Brown Sheer Powder Brush when doing that technique. For an all-over glow, I would use either the Real Techniques Blush Brush or Powder Brush to diffuse the product. It's no surprise that Hourglass hit another home run with its bronzer. It's officially a pro when it comes to giving folks a soft-focus, yet dimensional complexion.
