June was a fun month for favorites. I tried some new things and became attached to some others I've had for a while. This month's skincare was inspired by my mom. She uses the Mario Badescu Glycolic Eye Cream to combat wrinkles and undereye circles. She has perfect skin, so I knew taking a cue from her skincare routine was a wise choice. I also started using the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater as a toner and makeup mist. It's already become a staple in my routine as I've been using it before and after makeup application and removal. The price is right on this product as the 4.0-ounce bottle is only $7.00. My skin has been acting up a little bit as well, so my trusted Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque has been on call throughout the month. I've been using it as a spot treatment as well as an all-over mask.
This month's makeup routine has yielded some favorites as well. My favorite multipurpose products have been the Jouer Tints in Dahlia and Poppy and the NARS blush in Madly. The Jouer tints are perfect for both cream blushes and lip stains and Madly works as a blush, contour and eyeshadow. For the eyes I've been obsessed with the Make Up For Ever Artist Shadows. The shimmery taupe shade and rich, matte cranberry shade are both versatile and perfect for making my greenish-blue eyes pop. Under my eyes I've been loving, repeat LOVING, the Tarte Colored Clay CC Undereye Corrector. It's very similar to the Bobbi Brown Corrector, but I prefer it for its consistency and coverage.
When my hair is needing a little refresh (after third-day hair) I've been using the drybar Detox Dry Shampoo. It smells clean and doesn't leave that gross white-cast at your roots that makes your hair feel dirtier than it is.
To house all of these favorites I've been loving my Rifle Paper Co x LeSportsac makeup bag. It's huge and very easy to clean, but it is just so darn nice to look at. Its illustrations make me happy, but knowing it's from the company my good friend works for makes me even happier.
Of all my favorites this month, nothing beats my bangles from Northeast Proper. I featured this amazing jewelry line in my first Meet the Midwest post. Rebecca Johnson is the artist behind the brand, which is almost as lovely as she is. I've also been loving my little pinkie signet ring from Banana Republic that I've been wearing in honor of my grandfather - he wore a pinkie every day. I love wearing something that keeps him and his memory close to me.
Anything you loved in June that I need to check out?
