In terms of selecting books, I absolutely judge a book by its cover. I know that's not what my mama taught me, but when artists and graphic designers take the time to create beautiful covers that hold amazing stories I'm weakened.
I'm always collecting books, but recently I've been interested in adding some very special editions to my shelves. Thanks to obsessively watching Sanné from the YouTube channel Books & Quills I learned about bookdepository.com, which has some of the most stunning editions you'll find of both new and classic books.
In addition to some newer books, I wanted to fill out my classics collection a little bit. I could never get into Jane Austen novels, but when my friend Felicia added the Vintage Classics editions to her collection I couldn't resist giving them another try. If nothing else, they'll look real good on my shelves. I am also drooling over the Mr. Boddington's Penguin Classics copy of Jane Eyre. I sadly missed this collection when it was stocked at Anthropologie, so now it's time to scrape the interwebs for as many editions I can find (I especially want Alice in Wonderland & Little Women). Also, how amazing is the Faber Poetry edition of Ariel? Not only is this one of my favorite collections of essays by one of my favorite authors, it's also a gorgeous edition.
